Shelton, CT — A new aroma is filling the air along River Road as Glaze & Grind celebrates the grand opening of its newest café in Shelton. The cozy neighborhood spot, founded by longtime friends Daniel Brooks and Claire Nguyen, offers a menu that revolves around handcrafted donuts, Goldberg’s original bagels, and specialty coffee made to perfection.

“We wanted to create something that feels both familiar and exciting,” says Brooks. “It’s that mix of nostalgia and freshness that makes people want to come back.”

The interior strikes a balance between modern minimalism and warm, rustic touches — think white tile, wood counters, and an open view of the donut glazing station. Popular early favorites include the Honey Lavender donut, Everything Sunrise bagel sandwich, and their signature Cold Foam Vanilla Brew.

Nguyen adds, “We designed Glaze & Grind to be a place where good coffee and good conversation come naturally.”

Located at 214 River Road, Glaze & Grind is open daily from 7 AM to 3 PM, offering dine-in and takeout.
